This particular assortment is the kind of metal that I was listening to as I was beginning to explore the genre, and this music leans more towards the metalcore category, maybe with the exception of Mercenary’s song, which has a more “power metal” feel to it, and Hypocrisy’s song, which has some of a death metal feel to it.

I recorded my vocals over Disfiguring the Goddess’ instrumental track for the Big Chocolate YouTube Vocal Competition that took place in March. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about it until today, but I still wanted to have some fun. This is all improvised and took about an hour. All exhales. Only editing done was compression and the obvious layering of the highs with the lows to make it more interesting.
