my roof is 45 feet long and its 30 feet wide?please help,the metal roofing sheets are 36 square feet wide and how many do i need to do my roof
If your ridge length is 45′ long, and your panel lengths are 15′ long on each side (30′ wide total)
Most metal roofing sheets are 36 inches wide. I will base my figures on this, also remembering that in an earlier question you had mentioned something similar to this.
If this is the case you will need 30 panels @ 15′ long = 450 lineal feet = 1350 square feet.
Here are drawings showing this, as well as showing estimated amounts of trims and accessories you might need:

Of course different suppliers may have slightly different trims etc.. so you’ll want to ask them for more specifics as to what they recommend.
38 sheets

You need 1350sq. feet of roofing material, maybe more if the overhang was not figured in the original measurements. If the sheets are 36sq ft each, you will need 37.5 of them so I would get 40 and return what you don’t use.

well you need to know how many sq. ft. your roof is. multiply length by width 45×30=1350 sq. ft.
Now, you say the panels are 36 sq. ft. wide, but thats not right. that must be the total area of one panel. I’d assume they are something like 6′x6′ which is 36 sq.ft. But anyway, you divide the total area, 1350 by 36=37.5 panels so you would need 38

If you are using V-crimp roofing, they come in 2 foot width standard. If you say that each panel is 36 sq ft, then you obviously are using 18 foot panels. Are these the correct length to cover the roof from the gable to the overhang? If not, V-crimp comes in different lengths. If you have to cut some off of each panel, then you need to account for that cut-off. For example, if you have to cut 2 feet off each panel, then you need to figure that each panel is only 32 sq ft usable and buy accordingly. Always place the cut edge to the top because it will be covered by the cap. Be sure to use good felt or underlayment and a drip cap along the edge. Good luck.

38 but get four extra
return the ones that are off color – plus one or two are gonna get damaged during the installation
return what you don’t use
