Seniors do you like the looks of a metal roof?

We are in need of installing a new metal roof on The church Building. It has brownish Red brick on the outside. Tell me please what color would look the best. I like Rustic.

Definitely regarding the looks of a metal roof. Metal roofs are also very practical and longlasting. But please keep in mind that they require special attention to ‘flashing’ and waterproofing, especially on steep roof slopes [such as steeples!] and make sure the roofing contractor has experience with high slope metal roofing. Also, a dark metal roof color may require more attic insulation since it will absorb heat….

The ‘Rustic’ color next to brownish red brick sounds nice, but also remember that the deeper [darker] colors of metal roofing will fade alittle over time [as well as absorb more heat than the lighter colors].

Grey is a lighter, less heat-absorbing color and would look very nice over red brick if you add some grey detail in the outside trim of the building – eaves and or window sashings. Likewise for white metal roofing if the grout in the red brick construction is white. If the grout is beige, think beige for the metal roofing.

You can hardly go wrong: churches, like brides and babies, are inherently beautiful.

We have a metal roof on our cabin, and I love it, it is a green shade. We had had it for about 4 years and we love it.

This is not a question for us to answer. If you go to some
high quality and reputable metal roof dealerships,
they have computer programs that will actually show you
what all the roof styles and colors would look like on
your red brick building. Not every color goes with red brick.
A high-grade metal roof will last almost forever and
    need no repair.

I like metal roofs because I like to hear the rain on the roof. I’m not sure people would come to church to hear the rain. I think a white roof would be attractive. Please install solar panels to save on electricity.

The only metal roofs I have ever seen have been on Der Wienerschnitzel. In California, we don’t seem to have too many of them on our buildings. Perhaps in the higher altitudes & snow areas….but not in the urban or desert areas. Most of us have comp or shake or tile roofing material.

I may be prejudiced, but I think gray would complement red brick…that’s the color combination of my home.

Color..ask the people putting it on and they will have samples and will most likely bring them out for you to see up against the building.

Our church has a brown metal roof, and it looks fantastic. My last house had a brown metal roof, too, and I loved it. When I have to replace the roof on my present house, it will be metal, too, but haven’t decided what color.
