What are the heaviest metal bands alive?

i need some really dark heavy shit. (black metal, death metal, etc)
i don’t care what type of metal bands as long as its really brutal and kick ass!

you’ve got two seperate things here – brutal, and dark. they dont concide most of the time, brutal is just heavy and agressive, dark is probably more depressive, slower.

here are some good options for both:
