You know Stoa ? If not, you should give it a try. It’s a german classic/medieval/ambient band with an extraordinary female voice. It’s not metal, but it’s like a melodic version of Estatic Fear in some way =)

It seems that Estatic Fear took a break ( several, several months ) but i heard Matthias Kogler is prepairing some stuff for a possible third album during 2009… hope this is true.
Since this band isn’t a part of the general metal mainstream, would be a hard task to find their new material tough. An actual problem within the scene of this genre.
