I tried to mix many genres and I think it works. Every album listed is amazing and special. You might be surprised, because I omitted (intentionally) some very popular and influential releases. It’s because I (and not only I) find them imperfect and very overrated. All in all, this list contains only great metal. I recommend ALL of these bands and albums. Enjoy it!

Death/black is not just screaming. There’s a lot of amazing musicians in death metal who can play drums, bass or guitar in a great way. Black is metal is usually very atmospheric. Atmosphere is what I like most in music, so black metal is krieg. Only vocals are something hard to get used to in both genres.
