What are some good Death Metal bands for a beginner?

I’m really new to Death Metal.I really like Death,are there any similar bands to Death?Yeah I know Death is a very unique band but I mean,Death Metal bands who are soft like Death,can you recommend me some?

    Morbid Angel? That’s the only "real" death metal band I can recommend. But I would also advise checking out Dark Tranquility, (early) In Flames and Soilwork.

    I’m not really sure what a beginner Death Metal band sounds like, but check out: Becoming The Archetype, Dethklok, Bloodbath, Suffocation, Possessed, Dying Fetus

    (Good question!)-lol! there’s the mellow Bon Jovi to Motley Crue, Black Sabbath, to the heavier bands; Ozzy, Early Metallica, Testament, Pantera, Sepultura, King Diamond,-etc. (These were some of my favorites back in my old days-still are before I went wild; "Beginner DEATH METAL"- "SLAYER" is my favorite death metal,-As of Cannibal Corpse, Death, Morbid Angel, Obituary, etc. along with the other "hard-core-thrash/death/etc. that the others here mentioned, you wanna wait till you can handle!!-lol P.S.-If you want the "classic rock"-"Rush", Go For it!-They’re awesome!!!! …lol Demonseed- you’re funny-Ya I’m getting old, I still love Slayer, along with the old Bon Jovi (almost 40 & married-my wife "Strangette" says Slayer isn’t "lala-bye" music!-lol).)

    Atheist sounds a lot like Death. You might also like Cynic, Nocturnus, Hellwitch, newer Cephalic Carnage, Opeth. All of them have a progressive streak that is no doubt inspired by what Chuck did.

    nice man. death metal is great and metal fans are some of the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet.

    some softer death metal bands i really like are:
    Amon amarth
    eluveitie
    vader
    children of bodom

    eluveitie and children of bodom are a more unique kind, eluveitie is celtic. but check out amon amarth the most. i think you will reallt enjoy them. very awesome band
